Part of the Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) series of Dielectrix antennas from Helix Geospace which are highly resilient, ruggedised designed for hand-held and other products where size and performance are critical.

The HXDC16010-UA00 is a high-performance antenna for the Iridium network built upon Dielectrix technology.

Iridium antennas from Helix feature exceptional multi-path (reflected) signal selectivity and immune to RF and electrical noise. They’re balanced and isolated from platform ground, so they’re immune to common-mode noise. They’re also unaffected by nearfield object de-tuning. The antenna also supports Satelles STL (Satellite Time and Location) services, which are used for GPS backup.

HXDC1 Series of Antennas

The SBD Series of Dielectrix Antennas from Helix Geospace are highly resilient, ruggedised Iridium band antennas designed for hand-held and other products where size and performance are critical.

These antennas have high discrimination against multi-path (reflected) signals and are resilient to RF and electricalnoise. They are balanced and isolated from platformground, ensuring resilience to common-mode noise, and are unaffected by nearfield object de-tuning. The antenna also supports Satelles STL (Satellite Time and Location) services, that are used for GPS back-up.

Dielectrix Antennas deliver high performance that belies their small size, due to the patent-protected use of specialised dielectric core material. The antenna is available with a protective radome or in embedded formats — bare antennas that customers can design their own radomes for or integrate directly into their products.
