The BeiDou* Navigation Satellite System (BDS) operates in multiple frequency bands (B1, B2, and B3) to provide high-precision Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services. These bands are strategically selected for compatibility with GPS and Galileo, improving multi-GNSS interoperability and resilience. As industries demand ever-greater precision and resilience, choosing the right antenna for BeiDou reception is critical to overcoming signal interference, multipath errors, and urban canyon challenges.
BeiDou Frequency Band Advantages
- Reliable Multi-Band Reception
Ensures full coverage across B1, B2, and B3 bands for enhanced signal stability and accuracy. - Enhanced Multipath Mitigation
Dielectrix helical antennas reduce signal reflections, improving positioning accuracy in dense urban areas. - Improved Signal Acquisition and Tracking
High gain and wide beamwidth enable robust reception at low elevation angles, crucial for reliable satellite tracking. - Interoperability with Multi-GNSS Systems
Seamless integration with Galileo, GPS, and future LEO PNT solutions for enhanced global coverage. - Superior Interference Resistance
Exceptional out-of-band rejection reduces the impact of jamming and spoofing, ensuring secure PNT solutions.
*The BeiDou system is developed, operated, and maintained by the China Satellite Navigation Office (CSNO) under the oversight of the Chinese government. The operational management and technical development are led by the Beijing Institute of Tracking and Telecommunications Technology (BITTT). Civilian applications and international cooperation efforts are coordinated by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the International BeiDou Cooperation Forum (IBCF) to promote global adoption and integration.
